Field trip to chayatal

Chayatal is situated in the Western Part of the Sikkim; the village is just 32 km away from a well-known hamlet named Pelling. Basically chayatal is well known for Mahatma Sirijanga statue " the limbu's / subba 's God ." The most attractive thing of chayatal is chaya lake . It has a breathtakingly beautiful hill station with panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Kabru and Narsing, which rise up from virgin forests of Oak, Walnut and Pine. Punctuated by sacred azure lakes, West Sikkim’s landscape is truly magnificent. Located almost 151 kms from New Jalpaiguri, just a kilometer above Hee Gaon, this is one of the newest spots on the tourist map of West Sikkim. The twin villages of Hee and Bermiok are located at the foot of Chaaya Taal at a height of 8400 ft. The rocky crags, steep slopes and deep ravines make the terrain of the misty mountains around Chaaya Taal most suitable for all sorts of adventure tourism like boating, village walks and trekking.  We even f...
